How do you choose the correct cue stick for someone?
I was told there are certain specifications you must have before choosing a cue stick for a particular person. Like Height, Weight. I’m need to know because I’m buying a cue stick for my father for Fathers Day, and I plan on getting a rather expensive one.
Height isn’t an issue. Weight however can make a difference. I would recommend a 19 or 20oz cue as they are the most versatile. Beyond that it’s mostly the characteristics of the shaft. Some bend more, some hit softer, and some apply more spin. I wouldn’t get into that until he has had some time to play with this cue though. What kind of cues are you looking at?
