Neon Light.?
I just purchased a Neon light for my car, originally the connection went as follows. Cigarette lighter—->Transformer(12V converted to 1500V/15mA—->Neon Light. However, I didn’t want any wires visible anywhere near the center console so I clipped the power adapter off that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I’ve already tested the bulb with (2) 9V batteries and everything checked out when I ran the connection in a series. Okay now for the complicated stuff. I have the perfect spot under the hood of the vehicle for it. Should I hook up the wires directly to the car battery with an on/off switch thrown in there somewhere. If not where should I wire to get power from? Also, should I put a in-line fuse somewhere in the connection? Any better ideas then what I have come up with? Thanks.
never connect anything directly to the battery.run it through the fuse panel. Always have a fuse in a new circuit.
