How do you wash horsehair brushes?

My horse has rain rot, and I have to clean everything to make sure he doesn’t get it again. What cleaning product can I use on my horsehair brushes? Preferably not something that I have to go out and buy.

Ok,
I have had the same problem… I boarded at a large stable with 20 horses and they made me clean it throughly… Plus, I wanted clean brushes one day. First you get VERY hot water and soak them for 25-30 minutes… Then you can add soap and soak them throughly. You dont wanna add bleach unless you can spend alot of time getting the bleach out of the brushes. It would die your horse white… I mean unless your horse is white! Just take your time and soak and maybe a little bleach if you can tale time getting it out of the brushes!
