Slate Core Pool Table?, any Good?
Has anybody played on one of these things, and if so how well do the balls play, using english, can you control the balls at all? This question is more for people who realy know how to shoot pool.
If you’re really serious about your game, save up and get a real slate table. Real slate will be more durable and stay level so you don’t have to worry about it.
Slate core may be ok for a short time, so if you’re in temporary housing and would not take the table when you move, it’s an option. I’m sure english and ball control won’t be a problem if the cloth and cushions are in good shape.
