Which is best? Copper or brass olives for compression joints in plumbing?

In plumbing, when using compression joints I’ve always been told that copper olives are best as they provide a better seal. But nearly all plumbing stores only sell brass olives. What is best?

Yes you are dead right copper olives are best for the job as they are softer and make a better seal inside the joint. plumb shops sell what is more profitable for them you should always insist on the ones you want. Don’t forget your PTFE tape as well it could make all the differance.
